Idaho Open Education Week: March 1-5

Idaho Open Education Week is a free virtual event series running March 1–5, 2021.

Open education is a global movement to increase access to open educational resources online (OER). Open educational resources are openly licensed learning materials (textbooks, ancillary materials, technologies, etc.) that reduce barriers to student success and allow instructors greater flexibility to experiment with new educational approaches.

The series will offer updates on related activities around the state, examples of low- and no-cost course material projects, and discussions about how students, faculty, librarians, instructional designers, and others can get involved with OER.

Idaho Open Education Week is presented through Idaho State University in partnership with the Idaho State Board of Education. Boise State OER and Idaho’s other public colleges and universities will participate via IOPEN (Idaho Open Pedegogical Educational Network).
