University Conduct Board announces call for applicants

The Office of the Dean of Students invites faculty, staff and students to join the university conduct board for the 2022-2023 academic year. Board members review evidence, engage in deliberation, help ensure due process for students, and work together to uphold the well-being and integrity of the Boise State community when students are alleged to have violated the student code of conduct.

The committee is seeking faculty, staff, and students for both academic misconduct and behavioral misconduct board positions. The academic sanctioning and conduct hearing boards convene when students have engaged in severe or pervasive behavior, and the appellate board reviews student appeals related to academic and behavioral misconduct conduct decisions. Serving on one of the boards is an opportunity to enhance critical thinking skills, connect with other members of the campus community, and cultivate impactful development for students in the conduct process, according to the Office of the Dean of Students.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and those interested in participating in this volunteer opportunity can fill out an interest form or email srr@boisestate.edu with questions.
