Sexual Assault Awareness Week: April 18 – 22

The Office of the Dean of Students, Associated Students of Boise State University, Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, and Inclusive Excellence Student Council invite the campus community to join in educational events during Sexual Assault Awareness Week April 18-22 and Denim Day April 27.

  • 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 19: Community in the Quad
    Student organizations and campus partners from the Office of the Dean of Students, BroncoFit, Institutional Compliance and Ethics, Health Services, Veterans Services, and Faces of Hope will be tabling in the Quad to talk about resources and ways to get involved.
  • All day, Wednesday, April 20: Data walk with the Office of the Dean of Students
    The Office of the Dean of Students invites the Boise State community to participate in a self-guided data walk, a walking route with several stops which explore the intersection of sexual assault data, trends, and the campus geography of Boise State. Use this link to access the data walk.
  • 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 21: Healing yoga at the Centennial Amphitheater
    A gentle, trauma-informed yoga class that is intended to be appropriate and accessible for all levels of experience, all bodies, and all abilities. Through a series of mindful movements and breath, participants will be invited to notice sensations in the body and make choices based on the present moment experience. Every movement is offered as an invitation, options are offered, choice is celebrated, and there are no hands-on assists. Please contact the instructor before class if there are any specific questions about participation. RSVP in advance.
  • 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday, April 27: Denim Day presented by Greek Life
    Join in wearing denim clothing on April 27. Organizations will also be tabling in the Quad to raise awareness and connect with other students on campus. Visit the website to learn more about the origins of Denim Day.
