Emotional intelligence training available in June

Just as a high intelligence quotient, or IQ, can predict high scores in aptitude tests, a high emotional intelligence quotient, or EQ, can predict an individual’s success in navigating social and emotional situations. Human resources is offering a new class called EQi Emotional Intelligence Assessment and Training for individuals to develop their emotional intelligence quotient.

During the training, participants will learn how EQ competencies work together to help build relationships, teams, resolve conflict, solve problems and build resiliency. The course fee is $75 and includes an emotional quotient inventory report, which measures an individual’s emotional intelligence and outlines an individual’s EQ strengths and opportunities for development.

The training will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 15.
