Advising and Academic Support Center Director, Tomás Baiza, is featured in the Summer 2023 issue of the Little Patuxent Review. Baiza’s literary essay, “Merit Badge Ceremony,” explores the fluid nature of contemporary Mexican-American/Chican@ identity while also touching on the contested idea of cultural authenticity. Baiza joins a prestigious company of writers such as Joy Harjo, Edith Pearlman and Michael Chabon who have appeared in the Little Patuxent Review.
