The Boise State chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, an honor organization for financial information students and professionals, will hold their second annual Feed the Funnel party on Sept. 22, 2023. The organization and a team of volunteers will work with local food banks to pack 100,000 shelf-stable meals to feed food-insecure individuals in the Treasure Valley at the event.
Beta Alpha Psi is aiming to raise $40,000 by August 31, 2023 and recruit at least 300 volunteers for the event to reach their goal.
In September 2022, BAP held the first annual Feed the Funnel party, where over 140 volunteers packed 58,000 meals in under two hours. The meals were distributed to 22 food banks across the Treasure Valley, including Boise State’s Campus Food Pantry. The organization was awarded the Boise State Student Organization Program of the Year Award for the 2022 event, and was one of only two Beta Alpha Psi chapters (out of 300 internationally) who took on this challenge.
