Applications open for new Course (Re)Design Faculty Learning Community

Is there a course you’re teaching in Spring 2024 that you’ve previously taught but would like to rethink? Or, are you looking to add more opportunities for students to engage with one another and with course content? Perhaps you’d like to approach the overall design more intentionally and ensure that your assignments align with your learning outcomes? If so, the Course (Re)Design Faculty Learning Community will provide opportunities to explore these different aspects of the course design process while faculty make adjustments to an existing course.

Meetings will take place every other week for 90 minutes, beginning in the week of Sept. 18. In between these sessions, faculty will complete asynchronous learning about course design topics, develop course materials and engage in a peer feedback process with fellow participants.

This faculty learning community will include the same information as our long-standing summer Course Design Institute, but is designed in a format that allows faculty more time to work through material at their own pace and more time to develop course materials while still maintaining the experience of working alongside colleagues and a CTL facilitator on your course design journey!

Participants who miss no more than one session and who submit the final deliverables will receive a stipend of $200. For more information and to apply, see the Course (Re)Design Faculty Learning Community application form. Applications for the fall cohort are due Sept. 9, 2023, at 9 a.m.
