Experiential Learning with Community Impact: planning and implementing service-learning into courses

The Experiential Learning with Community Impact faculty learning community is designed for faculty who want to explore integrating service-learning into their course. Participants will review service-learning models, try out essential practices, develop experiences with community partners and take steps to successfully integrate service-learning into their course. Faculty can participate in person or via online asynchronous modules. The content, expectations and timing are the same.

  • The in-person faculty learning community will meet from 1:30-2:45 p.m. every other Tuesday for six weeks starting Oct. 17.
  • The online modules will launch Oct. 17 and close on Jan. 30.

Educators who participate in all six sessions and submit a service-learning plan will receive a $300 grant for professional expenses. Register via the online form or contact Kara Brascia (karabrascia@boisestate.edu) with questions.
