Engineering student to pitch at veterans ‘shark tank’ event Nov. 6

Veterans and their spouses will be pitching their businesses in front of judges from 4-6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6 at Twisted District in Garden City for the Second Annual Idaho Veterans and Spouses Shark Tank.

Zach Adams, a mechanical engineering student at Boise State and United State Special Operations Forces veteran, is a finalist in the competition. He started On Glass Adapter in 2022 with the goal of designing and providing a digiscoping solution that does not interfere with the day to day use of a user’s phone. Through many iterations, and months of research and design, the adapter was born and Adams won the Boise State University Idaho Entrepreneur Challenge in 2023, claiming $17,000 along the way to help further develop the product.

In addition to the event, Governor Brad Little will proclaim Nov. 6-11 to be Idaho Veterans and Spouses Business Week.

Complete event details are available on the Idaho Veterans Chamber of Commerce’s webpage.
