Professional Sales student team claims runner-up spot at Western States Sales Competition

The Boise State Professional Sales student team traveled to the Western States Sales Competition hosted by California State University-Chico March 11-12. The team took the second place team award, earning $2,000 in prize money.

Schools at the competition included California State University-Fullerton, Florida International University, Southern Utah University, Oregon State University and Virginia Commonwealth University.

“It was undoubtedly one of the toughest team competitions we’ve encountered, but our team handled it masterfully,” said faculty advisor Frank Veltri. “A huge congratulations to our remarkable team captain, Libby Boyd, and talented team members, Kate Perkes, Samantha Wyne, and MJ Agren, for their stellar performance.”

Veltri also credits student coaches Jenna Kline and Jadon Gramata whose dedication and guidance played a pivotal role in the team success.

Looking ahead, the team is preparing to compete in the Idaho Sales Challenge hosted by Idaho State University March 28-29. There the Boise State team will face the University of Idaho, Idaho State University and BYU-Idaho.
