Reminder: Budget modernization listening sessions begin March 25

In anticipation of the listening sessions beginning Monday, March 25, the Budget Modernization Planing Advisory Council has worked with Kennedy and Company to prepare a document that is intended to provide more information on the goals of the sessions, the expectations of the sessions and a brief update on the process to date. Listening session participants are encouraged to review this document in advance of their unit’s schedule time, as seen below. This document and other resources are also available on the Budget Modernization website.

Listening Sessions

The Budget Modernization Planning Advisory Committee, in partnership with consulting group Kennedy and Company, will host a series of listening sessions with university units beginning March 25-28. These meetings will give university units, the Planning Advisory Committee and Kennedy and Company opportunities to engage on the budget model needs and concerns at Boise State. Specifically, budget committee members and Kennedy and Company will be gathering input on the priorities, values and guiding principles that should be included in the budget model development process and in the budget model. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions about the process.

Members of the Boise State community are strongly encouraged to attend sessions assigned to their units and divisions, as the focus of each session will be oriented towards the assigned unit. A general “catch-all” session will be held virtually via Zoom on a to-be-determined date in the near future.
