Great Ideas Summit explores ‘humanizing education’

The 2024 Great Ideas Summit is in the books, with over 100 educators gathering to explore this year’s theme, humanizing education. The event, co-sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning, University Foundations and the eCampus Center, featured remarks by Provost John Buckwalter, Center for Teaching and Learning Director Daniel Sanford and University Foundations Director Candyce Reynolds. Other featured speakers were Cecilia Orphan, associate professor of higher education at the University of Denver, and Heidi Estrem from the State Board of Education.

“I enjoyed connecting with colleagues from other departments and learning about strategies that worked and didn’t work for them,” one participant said. “As an adjunct faculty new to Boise State I loved the energy and sense of camaraderie.”
