Time for a digital spring cleaning: Google Workspace quotas

The Office of Information Technology previously announced that Google no longer offers unlimited storage for Google Workspace for Education accounts. While campus-wide data cleanup efforts are ongoing, stored data is increasing at a substantial rate. To help control this increase, Google Workspace quotas will be implemented in the coming weeks.

The amounts of the quotas are still being finalized, but the quotas are anticipated to provide ample storage for the majority of users on campus. More information will be announced as soon as it is available.

Have large files saved in both Google Drive and Gmail? Files from a project that was completed years ago? Find ways to quickly identify both large files and outdated files on the Office of Information Technology website. Users are urged to take time to clean up old files in advance of the quotas rolling out.

Those with questions about Google Workspace quotas can contact the Help Desk at (208) 426-4357 or helpdesk@boisestate.edu.
