Mandatory training for benefit-eligible and adjunct employees now available

The 2025 cybersecurity and the respectful workplace trainings are mandatory for all benefit-eligible and adjunct employees. These trainings must be completed by 11:59 p.m. MST on March 31, 2025.

While there may be additional eligibility requirements once guidance is released from Idaho’s Division of Human Resources, these training modules are required for Change in Employee Compensation (CEC) and are crucial in supporting a safe digital environment and fostering a positive campus culture.

To streamline the process, Human Resources and Workforce Strategy and the Office of Information Technology have put all four modules into a single Canvas training.

Respectful Workplace Training

Boise State’s Respectful Workplace training (12 minutes) provides employees with the tools to prevent and respond to harassment and discrimination in the workplace, including where to report if there is a concern. This training helps to maintain a campus that is free from discrimination and harassment, where everyone can work and pursue their education in a safe and supportive environment.

Cybersecurity Training

  • Artificial Intelligence (10 minutes)
  • Data Privacy (10 minutes)
  • Security Awareness (15 minutes)

In a digital world, staying safe online is crucial. Cyber threats are constantly evolving, making vigilance and awareness crucial. This training equips users with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves and Boise State data from these threats.
