Eric Scott named new associate vice president for student affairs

Boise State University is pleased to announce that Eric Scott will be joining the campus community as associate vice president in the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. Scott’s first day will be Oct. 28.

Scott currently is serving as the dean of students and campus life at the University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau. He will join Boise State with diverse leadership experiences in student affairs ranging from student involvement and leadership programs, campus recreation, housing and residence life, to services oriented towards student equity, welfare and support. Scott also brings nonprofit leadership experience, having served as the board president of the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council.

“I look forward to finding pathways to elevate the experience and inclusion of all Boise State Students and am excited about joining an innovative, growing and forward-thinking research university focused on student success,” Scott said.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education from the University of South Carolina and currently is a doctoral student at Oregon State University. He will join the Boise community with his partner Brandy Diaz Scott, a fellow educator.
