Kim Carter-Cram and Jen Black, both lecturers in the English department, developed and presented a workshop titled “Humanizing the Online Literature Course” at the 2020 Modern Language Convention held Jan. 9-12 in Seattle. The workshop was based on their many years of online teaching experience in language, literature and the humanities, and gave participants information about humanizing online courses through a variety of course design strategies and specific course delivery strategies.

Workshop participants also had the opportunity to begin developing various methods for humanizing their own online courses, working in tandem with other participants and with the facilitators.
