Learn about the impact of Service-Learning

Check out the 2020-2021 Virtual Service-Learning Exhibition which opens Tuesday, April 27 through Wednesday, May 5.

This is an opportunity to:

  • View posters and videos featuring students’ service-learning (SL) experiences and learning

  • Get ideas for SL projects and learn about new SL models

  • See the breath of community partners and projects engaged in SL despite the pandemic

  • Comment on the excellent student work presented

Students will showcase posters and videos demonstrating how their SL projects provided authentic real-world learning and made a valuable impact in the community.

Service-Learning is an innovative teaching and learning method that integrates course content with relevant community service. Boise State offers over 160 service-learning courses each year from over 35 departments across each college in partnership with over 80 community partners, 80 faculty members, and over 2,800 students. The Service-Learning staff provides extensive support for planning, implementing, and assessing SL.

Each year the Service-Learning program hosts an exhibition to celebrate the broad reach of Boise State’s commitment to civic engagement.
