Virtual Power Talk: “Putin, Nuclear Threats and Strategic Reality – What’s Putin Really Up to?”

The Center for Advanced Energy Studies Energy Policy Institute is pleased to host a virtual PowerTalk on the subject “Putin, Nuclear Threats and Strategic Reality – What’s Putin Really Up to?” This session will be via Zoom at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 3.

The session will include insight from Nuclear Policy Expert Christian Kessler, former Director of Export Control & Conventional Arms Nonproliferation Policy with the U.S. Department of State, and expert with the United Nations Security Council Panel of Experts for the Iran Sanctions Committee.
He has taught at the University of Washington (Seattle) and Stony Brook University (New York). His writings include Verifying Nonproliferation Treaties: Obligation, Process, and Sovereignty (NDU Press, 1995).

With the Power Talk series, the institute brings together leading authors, researchers, and technologists with those who are interested in energy to discuss insights on energy policy and decision-making.
