FAQ

What is Convocation?

Convocation provides an opportunity for nursing graduates to share their excitement and academic accomplishment with faculty, staff, fellow students, family and friends at a special ceremony.

Convocation includes remarks from the Deans of the School of Nursing and College of Health Sciences as well as keynote student speakers. The ceremony includes the acknowledgement of special friends and donors of the School of Nursing, and attending graduates will be recognized by name.

What is the difference between convocation, graduation, and commencement?

Convocation: a special ceremony to recognize graduating nursing students

Graduation: the process of being awarded a degree after completion of credit hours and other degree requirements.

Commencement: the congratulatory ceremony in which students are publicly and formally recognized. Visit the University commencement webpage for more information about commencement.

Regalia can be purchased through the Bronco Shop.

What Regalia do I need?
