Simulation Operations Specialist

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Angela received her undergraduate degree in Biology. She worked in biology research and spent one year working as a nurse assistant. After tutoring math and sciences at several colleges, she was hired as a Simulation/ Nursing Lab Technician at a community college in New Mexico.
She became a Simulation Specialist in 2015 and earned her Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist designation in 2018. She moved to Idaho and joined the Boise State simulation team in July 2019. In 2024, she completed her Master of Educational Technology degree from Boise State, including a certificate in Designing Accessible and Inclusive Online Education. Angela helps teach about Electronic Health Records in the prelicensure nursing program.
She likes simulation as the intersection between three of her interests: education, technology and health. She enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
