Derek Hiebert, MA, BS

Derek Hiebert has worked as a marketing and communications professional in higher education for over six years. He is passionate about institutional growth through brand-promotion and storytelling, particularly in strategizing content for a digital age. Derek has a variety of experience and connection to the healthcare industry. His wife has worked as an RN for over twenty years. As well, Derek served in a field hospital as a dietician for the Army Reserves, and as administration staff at Carrington College.

He and his wife have three spirited teen daughters, making everyday life in their home an epic adventure of emotions, relationships and late-night conversations. Derek was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest where he and his family lived for many years until their move to Boise in 2020. Although he misses the rugged terrain of the Cascade mountain range, the culture and sunny climate of southern Idaho is growing on him. In his free time, Derek enjoys lots of recreation and movies with his family, avid fitness and reading. He is a constant learner of new ideas, and is always looking for a good, original story.
