Janet Lo
Standardized Patient Program Director and SP Educator, School of Nursing
Janet Lo has been part of the Simulation Team within the School of Nursing since 2015. Shortly after moving to Boise from Toronto, Canada, she joined Boise State University as a Standardized Patient.
She has worked extensively as an adult educator, particularly with experiential learning. She was a corporate simulator for playsthatwork as well as a Standardized Patient Trainer at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM), Idaho’s first medical school in Meridian.
Janet is also a professional actor, appearing in Theatre, Film, Television and Radio. Her career has taken her all over the world, portraying roles across Canada as well as appearing in Los Angeles, Boise and China. For her artistic endeavors locally, Janet is a recipient of a City of Boise Department of Arts and History Grant (2018), an Idaho Commission on the Arts grant (2018) and has been awarded two Alexa Rose Foundation grants (2019 and 2021).
