Boise State University Academic Testing Center (ATC) policies & procedures
1. Policy Purpose
To provide guidelines and expectations for SON Pre-Licensure Program students utilizing the Boise State University Academic Testing Center (ATC).
2. Policy Statement
- Students taking tests through the ATC must comply with all of the following expectations as well as the policies of the center. When a faculty member notifies students that an exam will be administered through the testing center, it is the student’s responsibility to sign up/make an appointment to take the exam as directed by the faculty member.
- Students should not wait until the last day to schedule a time slot with the ATC. Failure to schedule an exam early may result in inconvenient time to take the test or needing to wait for a reserved student to finish before being able to take an exam. Students who have a reserved testing time have priority with the ATC. Students must notify their faculty member immediately of any circumstance involving not completing an exam related to a technological failure or a testing administration concern.
- Students should take their exam at the scheduled time. If a student misses their reserved time by more than half an hour, the student should call the ATC to reserve an additional/alternative time slot.
- Students must finish their exam prior to the close of each scheduled exam day. Refer to the ATC’s hours to view closing times. It is the student’s responsibility to allot enough time to finish the exam. The ATC reserves the right to cancel or postpone any test, or to stop a student from beginning a test, due to inadequate time for an exam to be completed prior to the center closing. ; This usually, but not always, occurs at least one hour before the center closes.
