Boise State offers both a regular and advanced standing MSW program entirely through online delivery. The regular program is designed for students who’ve previously earned a degree in a field other than social work, while the advanced standing allows students with previous social work training to get a jump start on their education. To qualify for the advanced standing program, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- You graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from a Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited school within the last seven years.
- You graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from a CSWE accredited school within the last 10 years and have significant post-BSW social work practice experience.
If you do not meet either of the qualifications above, you are encouraged to enroll in the regular program to give yourself the best education in social work possible.
