The Governance Policy Administration Certificate is part of the Graduate Cyber Operations and Resilience (gCORe) program. The Governance Policy Administration Certificate is an asynchronous, online program that prepares you for risk management, law, ethics, governance and compliance as it applies to the cyber industry.

What Are The Admission Requirements?

To be considered for the online Governance Policy Administration Graduate Certificate program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • At least a baccalaureate degree (in any academic discipline) from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university or a degree from a non-U.S. institution of higher education that is judged equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree by the International Admissions office. Applicants who are a senior in good academic standing can request an exception to this requirement. 
  • An undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 (based on a 4-point scale) computed for all undergraduate credits from the applicant’s most recent baccalaureate degree.* 
  • Admission to the Boise State Graduate College

*Students with a GPA lower than 3.0 may require special provisions for admission to the gCORe program

Other potential expenses may include a personal computer, webcam, headphones with mic, and internet access which are all required for this program. Students in the gCORe program will need a computer that meets the following processing requirements: PC – AMD Ryzen 5 or Intel Core i5; MAC – 16GB memory, 500GB drive space.

*The per-credit fees listed above are for the 2022-23 academic year. Future academic year per-credit fees may vary slightly and are finalized each May.

About gCORe

The gCORe program offers three graduate certificates. You can pursue certificates individually, as part of your gCORe master’s degree, or if you want to add a cyber operations and resilience emphasis into a non-cyber operations master’s degree. 

The flexibility of the graduate certificates allows you to stack your credentials should you choose to continue onto a master’s degree path after completing your certificate.

The Master of Science in Cyber Operations and Resilience prepares you with the knowledge, skills and expertise needed for maintaining the operational effectiveness of complex business, academic, and government information and physical systems.
