Change Management at Anixter

When I wanted to formalize my education in instructional design, I decided that getting another master’s degree was the best way to get ahead in the field. I researched programs and came across Boise State. At first, I was really worried. I had never considered an online program, much less from a football school, but I saw that it had well-known and extensively published professors and a great reputation. I decided to take a chance, and I’m glad I did.

The program and the professors were outstanding. I learned more applicable, real-world skills in the Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning (OPWL) program than I did in my first master’s program which was a traditional on-campus experience. I walked away with the confidence to work in any of the human performance industries, and the support I still get from the program is amazing. I’ve met friends, colleagues, and mentors that I am in regular contact with and am still surprised at how great this online program was and is.

I advocate for Boise State in online forums because I truly believe it is a top-notch program with a better support system than most on-campus programs, and I advocate for it here because I believe in what they are doing to build successful and knowledgeable graduates who are ready for success. You’d be crazy not to at least consider Boise State’s OPWL program if you’re looking to really understand human performance improvement.
