Alfredo Ocaranza González is a Mexican writer who bears the influence of the Nueva canción movement that took place in mid-20th-century Latin America. This influence allows him to write based on the feeling of tenderness, but also with a penchant for social issues, progression, and a little magic. He is currently studying Literature and Gender Studies at Boise State University. His work has been featured or is upcoming in Impossible Archetype, Rigorous Magazine, CIRQUE, and Harvard’s PALABRITAS.
