MS Raptor Biology student Nora Honkomp received the William C. Andersen Memorial Award for Best Student Paper at the Annual Meeting of the Raptor Research Foundation in October 2023 with her paper and oral presentation “Biological factors associated with the autumn departure timing of North American migratory raptors across a broad-scale.” Honkomp’s graduate thesis research at Boise State University uses citizen science data to determine the timing of autumn departure of migratory raptor species from North American breeding ranges during the last two decades.
