  • Ibrahim Olalekan Alabi

PhD Student, Machine Learning (ML) and Data Science

Ibrahim contributed to the NASA-funded SnowEx project with BSU Geoscientist HP Marshall using machine learning to predict hydrological outcomes of snowpack from remote sensing data. He currently works with BSU Assistant Professor Anne Hamby (Marketing) to analyze Kickstarter videos. Vocal characteristics of entrepreneurial presentations submitted to this crowd-funding platform, specifically pitch and loudness, create patterns that Alabi analyzes using B-Splines to determine which are most likely to be financially supported. He is also working toward a Software Carpentry trainer certification.
