Special Session Deadlines

Special Session 1 is typically utilized for workshop or special event courses that span four days or fewer. This will allow students to enroll up until the day before the class and drop with a W up until the day before the last day of class. If the class is dropped on the last day, the drop will result in a grade of F.

  • One day before the class begins
• Last Day for Refund and to Drop without a W
  • One day before the class begins
• Last Day to Drop with a W
  • One day before the class ends
• Last Day to Drop with an F
  • Last day of class

Special Session 2 is used to schedule courses that span 5 or more days, and that fall outside of standard pre-defined sessions (such as 1st 8-week, 2nd 5-week, etc.). This will allow the student to register through the first day of class and drop without a W through the day after the first day of class.  The last date to drop with a W varies by course, and students are strongly encouraged to check their myBoiseState accounts to confirm the final penalty date for their specific sections.
