How do I add an associate’s degree?
Students should use the Change My Major tool in myBoiseState to add an associate’s degree to their existing plan/major.
When am I allowed to add an associate’s degree during the semester?
You can add an associate’s degree at any time during the semester through the last day of classroom instruction and still graduate that term. However, a late fee will be assessed if you apply after the first week of classes.
Will I need to apply for graduation?
Yes, if you add an associate’s degree to your account, you will need to apply for graduation.

To add an associates degree, log into your My Boise State Account.
Select “My Academics” from the navigation bar.
In the “My Majors” panel select “Add a new major, minor, or certificate”.
Use the search bar to find the degree you would like to add. Select and confirm.
Your associate’s degree is now visible in your my majors panel. If you’ve made a mistake go ahead and reset changes. If not, select preview changes.
Ensure all of the information is correct, and click “save plan changes”.
Once this has loaded, your associate’s degree is officially added to your majors.
Throughout this process, ensure that you do not remove any of your existing majors, minors, or certificates. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your existing majors, minors or certificates, make sure you reach out to your advisor.
