Financial Need

  • 69% of the Fall FT-FTIC Undergraduate Idaho students that completed a FAFSA have financial need. Financial need is defined by the student’s FAFSA, before any aid is applied.
    • Of those students, 59% have unmet financial need. Unmet need is defined by the student’s FAFSA and is after aid is applied.

Federal Pell Grant Awards

  • 30% of the full-time, first-time in college cohort were eligible for the Federal Pell Grant award. This is a 3% increase from Fall of 2023.
    • 39% of resident students were eligible versus 16% nonresident students.

Scholarships

  • 76% of Fall 2024 First-Time residents received a scholarship, not including athletic aid or waivers.
    • This is a 16% increase from Fall 2023. Most of this comes from the Idaho Launch Scholarship program implemented by the State of Idaho.
  • 79% of Fall 2024 First-Time nonresidents received a waiver. A waiver is defined as a waiver of nonresident fees and includes faculty/staff waivers.
