Recipients of the Golden Apple are determined by the Associated Students of Boise State University (ASBSU). Following hundreds of nominations from students, Boise State faculty across the university received the prestigious honor of the 2019 award representing their college or school. For more than 30 years, ASBSU has presented Golden Apple Awards to thank and honor teachers who have encouraged them and instilled in them a passion for learning.

Graduate student, Hailey Cook, who nominated Dr. Kenaley, said, “I have been taking classes from Dr. Kenaley since I was an undergrad. From this experience, I have found her to be one of the most positively influential people I have ever met. She supports her students while pushing them out of their comfort zone so that they can grow. Honestly, I don’t believe I would be where I am if it wasn’t for her, and I want to thank her for that.”

Words like Ms. Cook’s only reinforces the importance of personal connections between students and faculty. We are proud of our faculty and their work with students in the School of Social Work
