Upper-division Criminal Justice Application

The Department of Criminal Justice requires students to apply for upper-division criminal justice standing prior to enrolling in specific major requirements that require this prerequisite.

There are many upper-division criminal justice (300 and 400 level) courses that do not have the prerequisite of upper-division criminal justice standing. These courses are available to CJ majors and non-majors:  For a complete list of these classes please go to: Upper Division Courses without prerequisite upper-division standing.

To apply for Criminal Justice upper-division you must fill out this form and attach your most recent transcripts.

You may expect to hear back on your application in 10-14 business days. Please allow sufficient processing time prior to your registration appointment.

Once a student has been admitted to upper-division criminal justice standing, a faculty advisor will be assigned to the student.
