Starting this Summer 2016 term, all courses necessary to earn a Conflict Management Certificate will be offered in the Summer. (The Certificate requires 12 credits: 7 credits of required courses and 5 credits of elective courses). This change was made to accommodate students pursuing master’s or law degrees, who frequently have scheduling conflicts that make it difficult to take Conflict Management Certificate courses during Fall and Spring terms. Students just beginning the Certificate program should expect to spend at least two summers completing the necessary coursework.

NEW Course: Family Law Mediation: This 3-credit, weekend course is appropriate for current students and individuals who have completed the Certificate program. To enroll, students must have completed Basic Mediation Skills (DISPUT 400 or 500) or have permission of the instructor, Kristie Browning. Kristie is recognized by many mediation professionals and attorneys as the best family mediator in the Treasure Valley. Her teaching excellence and expertise make this an exceptional opportunity for anyone interested in family mediation. This course will be offered during the weekends of July 9-10, July 23-24 and August 6-7.
