5 1/2 Things ASBSU Is Up To

Your elected student government, the Associated Students of Boise State University (ASBSU), is working on a variety of events and issues to serve you this semester. Here’s a sampling:

1) Elections are coming up!

If you’ve ever thought about running for a student government office, now’s your chance to serve. Election packets are available now through March 2.

2) Golden Apple Awards

Nominate a professor who inspires you. This annual event is held to celebrate and recognize the exceptional faculty for their outstanding efforts to serve students. The nomination form is live on OrgSync. Winners will be announced at the awards program April 8.

3) Meet the Mayor

Boise Mayor Lauren McLean will visit Boise State Monday, March 9 in the Alumni and Friends Center. Come meet Boise’s first woman mayor.

4) Gathering All Leaders and Activists (GALA)

You have a voice. Put it to work at this event to discuss the campus issues important to you.

5) You’re Excused

You want to do your civic duty, but not at the expense of missing class and falling behind. ASBSU is working on a resolution to make jury duty an excused absence.
