Free Parking in Satellite Zone

If you’re willing to park a little farther away and catch a shuttle to campus, there are some FREE parking options. The Student Satellite Zone consists of the lots at Dona Larsen Park, Boas Soccer and Tennis Complex and the Elder Street Park-and-Ride.

The Boise State shuttle’s Orange Route provides stops near Dona Larsen Park, while Valley Ride Bus No. 3 has a stop near the Elder Street and Vista Avenue intersection. Pick up a Valley Ride bus sticker at the Transit Center or Information Desk in the Student Union Building (SUB) and you can ride all Valley Ride buses for free.

Although parking is free in these lots, we need your vehicle license plates on record, and you’ll need to display a permit. Bring your current license plate number to the Boise State Transit Center in the SUB to pick up your Student Satellite Zone permit.

The Elder Street Park-and-Ride lot is available for overnight parking, which is great if you live on campus and don’t use your car every day. This is the only lot to allow overnight parking in the Satellite Zone.

Student Satellite Zone lots will be closed on designated occasions for athletic events. You’ll get notifications as those dates near.
