What is a "SUB" anyway?

The “SUB” is an abbreviated nickname for our Student Union Building on campus. As a multi-million dollar facility and campus “living room,” the Student Union offers Boise State students, faculty, staff, and guests hundreds of thousands of square feet of amenities, services, and opportunities to connect. Whether you call it a SUB or a Student Union, by any other name it means your place for community!

How do I connect to wireless internet in the Student Union?

  • The Student Union offers both secured and unsecured wireless network access as well as LAN access and power stations.
  • Bronco-Guest is an unrestricted wireless network designed to allow open and easy access to internet resources. Bronco-Guest does not require a username or password; therefore it is an unsecured network.
  • Eduroam is an encrypted wireless network requiring you to authenticate once with your Boise State username and password. You will not have to authenticate again until the next time you reset your password.
  • LAN and power connections are available in the main dining area on the first floor, with additional connections available in the various lounges throughout the building. All LAN connections are clearly labeled with an identification plate next to the table.
  • Need help? Visit OIT’s Help Desk at the Zone, located on the first floor of the Interactive Learning Center.

Where can I eat in the Student Union?

The Student Union is home to an all-you-care to eat dining hall and several retail locations:

  • Boise River Cafe
  • Fresh Express
  • Chick-fil-a
  • Moe’s (Closed Until Further Notice)
  • Starbucks
  • Subway

Where are the ATMs located?

On the first floor near the Convenience Store Entrance.

Where can I get tickets to Bronco Athletics events?

Check out student ticket procedures or contact the Boise State Ticket Office for general seating ticketing.

Where can I mail a package or letter from the Student Union?

Bronco Express, located between the Games Center and Bronco Shop, offers a wide range of mailing (including selling stamps) and shipping options. The Information Desk also accepts pre-stamped mail and inter-campus mail.

What's a Bronco Card and where can I get one?

The Bronco Card is the official identification card for all Boise State students and employees. You can obtain new and replacement Bronco Cards at the Information Desk, located on the first floor of the Student Union, conveniently located between Starbucks and the retail dining area.

I lost something in the Student Union. Do you have a lost and found?

The University endeavors to ensure the proper handling and claiming of Lost and Found Property by establishing standardized Lost and Found Property procedures for departments and units, collection sites, and Central Lost and Found. For more information reference University Policy 12160 – Lost and Found Property. Lost and Found Property will be retained by different collection sites for a short period of time before it is transferred to Central Lost and Found at the Information Desk.

Can I reserve the Games Center for my private party or event?

The Games Center is currently closed until further notice.

Where can I purchase textbooks?

All required text books for your courses can be purchased at the Bookstore.

How do I reserve a meeting room, promotion space, or event space?

Through University Event Services, either in person, by phone (208.426.1677) or by email (eventservices@boisestate.edu).

How many events are hosted in the Student Union each year?

The Student Union is always bustling with activity! We host approximately 12,000+ events each year ranging from leadership conferences and student organization meetings to films and award dinners.

How do I get to the Student Involvement & Leadership Center?
