How To Enroll

New Students

Admitted for Fall and want to get a jumpstart on your courses?  Switch to Summer in a few easy steps.

Getting Started

Get Registered For Summer Courses

The next steps, once you are admitted to Boise State, have your username and set your passphrase, are to select the classes you want, and then register online.

Pay Summer Fees

The fees for summer programs are figured on a per-credit-hour basis. Please note that some courses have extra fees (lab, workshop, telecommunication) in addition to regular per-credit course fees. Please check the course schedule and verify fees at your time of registration.

When to Pay Fees

See all important deadlines for each session in the Summer 2024 Academic Calendar Deadlines table at the Registrar’s website.

Summer Fee Payment Plan

Fees may be paid in three installments due on or before May 25, June 25 and July 25 for the summer semester. A $30 nonrefundable application fee will be charged to use the plan. For more information concerning this fee payment plan, visit the Account Maintenance Center, Administration Bldg., Room 101, or call (208) 426-1212.

Important Fee Policy

Once you register for classes (including workshops that begin later in the summer), you remain registered and are responsible for the fees and grades for these classes unless you cancel your registration. If you decide not to attend any classes, you must drop all of them through myBoiseState. If you do not cancel your registration or pay your fees by the fee payment deadline, you will remain registered, you will be charged course fees, and you will be assessed a $50 late penalty.

NOTE: If your tuition, fees or other charges remain unpaid, you may be sent to an outside collection agency and will be responsible for any additional collection costs.

Policy For Summer Refunds

Summer fees are refunded on a certain basis, including fees and special fees and workshop fees.

Please see the Deadlines By Session – Summer 2024 Calendar at the Registrar’s site for details.

NOTE: Federal financial aid recipients may be subject to alternate refund calculations as specified by federal law.

It is the responsibility of the student to become aware of the refund policy of Boise State University.

All complete withdrawals from the University are subject to a $40 processing fee.
