SITI Company Master Class August 12-19, 2019

What – Viewpoints and Suzuki

The Suzuki Method is a rigorous physical and vocal discipline which strives to restore the wholeness of the body as a tool of theatrical expression.  Attention is on the lower body and vocabulary of footwork, sharpening the actor’s breath control, concentration and commitment to each moment.

The Viewpoints is a technique of improvisation that breaks down the two dominant issues performers deal with – time and space.  Using the Viewpoints allows a group of actors to function together spontaneously and intuitively and to generate bold, theatrical work.  It develops flexibility, strength and articulation in movement while quickly making ensemble interaction possible.
