Application Process

Show Boise and the Hackfort community your tech skills.

1. Identify a Problem

Identify a problem within our community you wish to solve with technology.

2. Apply

Applications for the Hackfort Tech Challenge close Friday, March 1st.

1. A pitch practice will be REQUIRED during the week of March 4 – 8. 
2. Applications will be reviewed by preliminary judges and the Venture College team.

3. Pitch

Finalist teams will be selected to pitch at Hackfort on Saturday, March 23 at 10 am MT. These teams will receive passes to Treefort Music Fest.

The Hackfort Tech Challenge is a statewide competition offered in partnership by Boise State University’s Venture College, a program in the College of Innovation and Design, and Treefort Music Fest.

Offered as a part of Hackfort, the Hackfort Tech Challenge encourages innovation and celebrates all things tech.

Apply today to compete for cash prizes while solving real-world problems with technology to make an impact in your community.

Eligibility

The Hackfort Tech Challenge is open to university students across Idaho. You must have at least one registered Idaho university or college student on your team in order to compete.

Winners of the Spring 2024 Hackfort Tech Challenge will receive a “Golden Ticket” to pitch in the Fall 2024 Boise Entrepreneur Week Pitch Competition.
