[Sergio Orozco-Sanchez,  Multicultural Recruitment Counselor]: Hello, everyone! My name is Sergio Orozco-Sanchez and I’m the new admissions counselor and coordinator for multicultural recruitment here at Boise State. A recent U of Idaho alum, I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Public Relations and a minor in English. Within my role, I work to serve and recruit students from underrepresented areas such as students who are first generation, Pell Grant eligible, refugee, and more. One piece of advice that I could give students is don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and share your stories. That’s what opens doors into higher education. One thing that I love about being here at Boise State is student’s ability to not only connect with our campus, but also connect with our community and the state capital. Now that I’ve introduced myself and a little bit about what I do, I love to get to know you more.
