[Carter, Senior, Film and Theatre Major]: Hi. Welcome to Boise State University! I’m Carter, a senior majoring in Film and Theatre.

[Cesi, Senior, Environmental Studies Major]: And I’m Cesi, a senior majoring in Environmental Studies.

[Carter]: We’re excited to show you around our vibrant canvas, located right in the heart of Idaho’s Capital City. From Friendship Bridge, Boise State is just a short 15-minute walk away from the heart of downtown, a lively area with cute coffee shops, restaurants, and tons of activities — from musical festivals to block parties, and everything in between.

[Cesi]: Plus our campus is nested along the Boise River Green Belt and park system. The perfect spot for study sessions, commuting across campus, or scenic walk.

[Cesi]: Now let’s check out our academic facilities. Here we are Micron Center for Business and Economics. Inside you’ll find Skaggs Learning Hall, our most prominent lecture hall where many students will take introductory courses. At Boise State there are many opportunities for hands-on learning for students for all majors. In the Business Building there’s a Dykman Financial Trading Room, where business students can practice managing stocks with real donated money. The money that these students earn throughout their practice, even goes back to scholarships for our Business students.

[Cesi]: Across campus, is the Engineering Innovation Studio. Where the engineering students can test theories and bring their designs to life with welding, fabricating, machining, and woodworking tools. For students interested in College of Health Sciences, we have the Nursing Simulation Lab in the Norco Building. This lab provides a realistic hospital setting where nursing students practice their skills before heading into clinical rotations.

[Carter]: If the arts are more of your thing, checkout the Center of the Visual Arts. This space has tons of studio spaces for students, from pottery, to jewelry making, to graphic design, and painting! Oh, and don’t miss the Stein Luminary. A ninety foot interactive touchscreen that displays rotating art exhibits from around the world. All students at Boise State have the opportunity to enjoy our innovative and collaborative classrooms in the Interactive Learning Center, or as we like to call it, the ILC. The ILC features flexible seating in classrooms, beautiful lecture halls, and study rooms that foster a collaborative learning environment. Oh, and while you’re there, make sure to grab a bite to eat at one of our dining options at the ILC. You’ll thank us later!

[Video Description]: The crowd cheers at the Boise State Albertsons Stadium, as the Blue Thunder Marching Band gives a performance and a student on a horse gallops across the field. Students and families rallying at the pre-game tailgating event, preparing for the upcoming, exciting game!

[Cesi]: Now let’s talk about Student Life and Recreational opportunities. Albertson Stadium is one of our most iconic spots. Our famous blue football field is a backdrop for thrilling home games, and makes a great photo-op for our students. Since 1986 Boise State has been recognized for boldly, blazing new trails as the first school to have a non-green football field in the country! Lovingly called the Blue, our turf is a symbol for our University’s innovative mindset. Whether you’re cheering on the Broncos in the crowd at our student section or just soaking in the atmosphere, it’s an unforgettable experience.

[Cesi]: Oh and did I mention? All full-time students have the opportunity to attend home games for free, and even better, this is for all 16 division-one sports that we have at Boise State. Next to Albertsons Stadium, is Extra Mile Arena, home to our basketball teams. It’s also the venue for concerts, performances, and special events throughout the year.

[Carter]: Our world class Student Recreation Center, is a must visit facility and includes a full gym, a three basketball courts, an in-indoor running track, a rock climbing wall, studio centers for workout classes and an aquatic center. If you want to get active off-campus the Outdoor Program is your gateway to exploring Idaho’s natural beauty. You can rent gear for activities like skiing, kayaking and hiking, or join guided adventures, led by experienced leaders. We even have summer welcome adventures, exclusively for new Boise State students! You want to continue a sport from high school? Or try out a new sport? There’s plenty of intramural and clubs sports opportunities to stay active and build your community on campus!

[Cesi]: At the heart of campus, is the Quad. It’s a perfect spot to find Resource Fairs and attend events, and learn about what activities and meetings are coming up. Boise State has over 200 student led clubs and organizations. From academic clubs to special interest groups, there’s something for everyone. Greek Life also thrives here, offering a tight knit community, through over 20 fraternities and sororities.

[Cesi]: If you plan to live on campus, there’s plenty of options for first and second year students. Check out our video series on Housing and Residence Life, to see the Halls and Student Room Tours.

[Carter]: And of course, you don’t need to live on campus to take advantage of dining options, like Busters Kitchen and South Fork. The menus at these cafeterias rotate often and always offer tasty options for students, with dietary, and allergy restrictions. Our dining locations are conveniently located across campus to ensure students can grab a bite to eat in-between activities.

[Carter]: A favorite hangout spot for Broncos is the Student Union Building, or the SUB for short. the SUB houses various Student Organizations and business offices. Including the admissions office, and our game center. Complete with bowling alley, pool tables, and air hockey. You can also find several study areas and restaurants, as well as the Bronco Shop, our official Boise State Bookstore where you can get all your textbooks and Bronco Spirit gear.

[Carter]: Getting around campus is a breeze! The Bronco Shuttle provides free rides across campus and key spots around city. For cyclists, the Cycle Learning Center provides bike rentals and repairs, always keeping you on the move. The 25-mile greenbelt runs alongside campus, so you can safely walk, bike, scooter, and skate your way around. There are so many resources available to Boise State students to help make campus feel like home!

[Cesi]: Looking for a quiet place to study? Here at Albertsons Library you can find tons of relaxing places to collaborate with peers, and bust out some homework. There’s even a coffee shop located right inside, with late hours during finals week. In the library, students also have the opportunity to use the Maker Lab, a really cool resource to help our Bronco creativity flourish.

[Cesi]: Boise State is all about supporting each and every student on our campus, the Educational Access Center, offers accommodations for those with disabilities, ensuring everyone has the resources they need to succeed. The Career Center helps students with job searches, internships, and career planning, offering support throughout your time at Boise State and beyond. The Campus Food Pantry is available to all students, providing free food and hygiene products. It’s just one of the many resources that the Dean of Students Office provides, to create an inclusive and supportive environment for our whole community.

[Cesi]: We hope you’ll visit campus soon to experience the Broncos Spirit for yourself. For more information and to schedule a Campus Tour with one of our current students, make sure you visit our website.

[Carter]: And as always.

[Cesi and Carter]: Go Broncos!
