Meet Zach Higgins, ’09

Zach Higgins, ’09, believes his time at Boise State University set the foundation for his success today. The College of Engineering graduate of the Construction Management program is one of the most successful in his field today.

Higgins is one of the owners and CEO of Wright Brothers, The Building Company, based out of Eagle, Idaho. He began working there as an intern, receiving the Newcomer of the Year and Employee of the Year awards in 2010 and ‘11. He was promoted to division head for the then-newly formed North Dakota division, overseeing commercial and residential work through March 2013.

In 2016 Zach and his partners bought into Wright Brothers, and in 2018 they completed their purchase of the business. Under the new leadership, the company dramatically expanded its revenues and client base across the United States.

A 2021 recipient of the Boise State Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni award, Higgins and his partners have received the people’s choice award for Top General Contractor in the Treasure Valley and has been recognized year after year as one of the top 100 Private Business in Idaho by the Idaho Business Review. One of Higgins’ projects received the Top Private Project Award, and Higgins received the Top 40 under 40 Award for the State of Idaho.

As a Boise State Construction Management Advisory Council member and Boise State Foundation Board of Directors, Higgins and Wright Brothers are donors to the Construction Management Building project.

“We believe that Boise State students will benefit from the new Construction Management building and encourage other alumni and friends to support this priority project for the College of Engineering,” he said.
