Awards and Scholarships
The Boise State Alumni Association celebrates excellence amongst our students, alumni and friends through several distinguished awards.
Distinguished Alumni Awards
Every year, the Alumni Association honors excellence by bestowing a number of awards to alumni with outstanding achievements. These individuals exemplify the loyalty, passion and innovation found in all dedicated Broncos. Honorees are recognized at the annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Gala during Homecoming.
Top Ten Scholars
Presented by the Boise State Alumni Association and Boise State Honors College, the Top Ten Scholar Award is one of the highest academic honors granted to a Boise State University undergraduate student. Each spring the recipients are recognized, along with their honored faculty, at the annual Top Ten Scholars Award Ceremony.
The Boise State Alumni Association connects, celebrates and engages alumni and friends of the University to build lifelong relationships that support the future of our University. As part of our guiding values, we as alumni and your association, support students through several scholarships managed by the alumni association.

Alumni Legacy Scholarship
The Alumni Legacy Scholarship, open to relatives of Boise State alumni, lets students focus on their studies by paying an amount equal to in-state fees for four years. So far, the scholarship fund has generated $1.25 million — and counting.
The BOLD Graduate Scholarship is awarded by the BOLD (Broncos of the Last Decade) committee to a BOLD graduate of Boise State who is pursuing a graduate degree at Boise State University.
Intercollegiate Knights Endowed Scholarship
Idaho statistics reveal that 80% of foster care youth want to attend college, however, only 7% are able to enroll and only 3% graduate. The Boise State Impact Scholars Program is re-writing these statistics. Boise State alumni and friends may contribute to the Intercollegiate Knights (IK) Endowed Scholarship and make a difference in lives of these students. Education is the number one variable that can break the cycle of poverty.
Bronco Family Scholarship
For Allie (’11 and ’20) and Geo (’09), it has been something special to be part of the Bronco family. As proud and engaged alumni, they wanted to help passionate students become Broncos for life!
That is why they started the Bronco Family scholarship to help students who are passionate about attending Boise State who may not qualify for other types of scholarships or aid. Scholarships or aid often determine where a student chooses to attend college and they wanted to be able to help a student decide on Boise State.
Fiesta Alumni Endowed Scholarship
The Fiesta Broncos Alumni Chapter Scholarship allows the Fiesta Broncos Alumni Chapter to support scholarships for deserving Arizona students to attend Boise State University.
