Meet Elizabeth Schneider
Retired engineering manager, Intel Corporation and contract grant writer for Idaho STEM Ecosystem, a division of Idaho Business for Education

Elizabeth graduated from Boise State University in 1987 with Distinguished Honors from the university’s honors program, earning a Bachelor’s in Mathematics. During her time at Boise State, she interned at Micron Technology in the information technology department as a programmer. She earned her Master’s in Computer Science from Washington State University in 1989.
Elizabeth’s career began in the software industry, where she specialized in software development tools—essential technologies engineers use to create applications. She started at small companies focused on tools for embedded systems before joining Intel Corporation in 2000. At Intel, Elizabeth spent two decades on the software development tools team, holding various roles in customer success, engineering management, project management and business operations, working with global engineering teams. She retired from Intel in 2020.
After retirement, Elizabeth shifted her focus to grant writing, dedicating her skills to securing funding for STEM education and career initiatives for Idaho’s K-12 students. She has worked with the Idaho STEM Action Center Foundation and currently contracts with the Idaho STEM Ecosystem. Elizabeth and her husband Eric are passionate about supporting students pursuing higher education, funding scholarships in computer science, engineering and nursing at Boise State and Washington State University. Elizabeth also serves on the board of directors for the Washington State University Foundation.
