Boise State Collaboration for Osteoarthritis Research

A collective group of researchers on campus published in May 2021 in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences. “Decellularized Porcine Cartilage Scaffold; Validation of Decellularization and Evaluation of Biomarkers of Chondrogenesis” outlines the use of decellularization techniques to create an extracellular matrix scaffold that supports chondrocyte cell attachment and growth in tissue culture conditions. There were several BMOL members involved with this research: Stephanie Tuft (Ph.D. Student), Makenna Hardy (Ph.D. Graduate), Dr. Shin Pu (Research Faculty), and Dr. Julia Oxford (Faculty).
