Lisa Warner

The overarching theme of our research is understanding the relationship between the structures and dynamics of biomolecules and their functions. The subject of our studies has centered on several individual and multidomain proteins, peptides, and nucleic acids and their complexes. We use techniques including solution, solid state, and high-resolution magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR, ssNMR, and HR-MAS NMR) and small angle scattering (SAS) to solve structures, analyze dynamics, and model conformational sampling and ensembles of multi domain proteins.

Structurally and dynamically characterized proteins of the E. coli β-barrel assembly machine and the MAP kinase ERK2. Incorporated the use of sparse NMR data into non-traditional NMR structure determination.
