Students can apply for Alternative Spring Breaks!

Serve communities both near and far, learn about social and environmental issues, meet other Boise State students and build your resume. The Student Involvement and Leadership Center will be hosting Alternative Spring Break trips to Hells Canyon (Idaho), Kanab (Utah), Negril (Jamaica) and a local adventure right here in Boise.

Your student will dive into these issues before their spring break service project through the LEAD 225 academic course, which they can take for 1 or 3 credits. They’ll also learn what it means to be an active and engaged citizen.

  • Cost: Standard trip fees range between $25 – $200, Partnership Jamaica costs $1800 and all trips are eligible for partial to full scholarships
  • Application Due Dates: February 1, 2023
  • LEAD 225: The class is just 5 Fridays during the spring 2023 semester from 1:30 – 4:15 p.m.
  • Dates: Trips usually span 5 to 7 days during spring break (March 18 – 26, 2023)

Please check out the Student Involvement and Leadership website to learn more, see what trips they’re planning, and apply: Alternative Spring Breaks.
