Peer Ed Spotlights

Can’t make a BroncoFit event? No problem! Spotlights are quick videos handpicked by our Peer Eds so that you can still learn about health and wellness-related topics from home!

The CPE Philosophy

Our students are Certified Peer Educators (CPEs) in accordance with standards set forth by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) CPE Network.

The CPE philosophy is that students can play a uniquely effective role – unmatched by professional educators – in encouraging their peers to consider, talk honestly about, and develop responsible habits and attitudes toward high-risk health and safety issues. Research has demonstrated the effectiveness of students working with students, and our BroncoFit Peer Educators have an immediate understanding of the social and academic pressures Boise State University students face.

PHEs + Housing

Each on-campus Housing facility is assigned its very own Peer Health Educators! The PHEs work closely with Housing and Resident Life staff to offer programming and outreach opportunities that meet the needs of each community.

PHEs + Outdoor Wellness

NEW to our team! The Outdoor Wellness Liaison serves a unique role on the Peer Education team- responsible for the coordination of the Ridge to Rivers Trails Club in collaboration with Boise Parks and Recreation, as well as programming focused on outdoor wellness.

Special areas of focus for the Outdoor Wellness Liaison include outdoor recreation, trail use, and preservation and sustainability.

Health Huts

Health Huts are monthly programs that focus on different health topics, selected and coordinated by our Peer Health Educators! Look for us in our hut on the Quad, outside of the ILC, or other spots around campus for FREE giveaways, handouts, and FUN!
